CODES OF CONDUCT FOR MALICIOUS MADAMS

GENERAL RULES

Must be a madam of 21 or older and are, or aspire to be a mastermind of the geek realm(we accept all who identify as female)

Must be at least 21. Some events may include alcohol and you will be held accountable for all of your actions. Before access to events I require ID, since I will have no minors around alcohol

ABSOLUTELY NO MALE MEMBERS. Most events members can invite a male as their guest, but only members of the meetup can invite a male guest.

Zero tolerance policy for any form of harassment

No shaming, malicious/nonconstructive gossip, or gate keeping

All deputes will be handled in a civilized manner. You may challenge them to combat larp(or choose a champion), formal debate, or any game to settle deputes. (see other sections for rules on this)

HOSTED EVENTS

GUEST

RSVP - derived from the French phrase Repondez s'il vous plait, meaning "Please respond" It's generally polite to confirm with the host that you'll be attending. This will allow the host to make the appropriate adjustments necessary.

Respect the time set by the host. Try not to come to events too early or stay beyond their time limits.

Respect the house rules of the individual(ex. They do not allow smoking in their house, or they don't allow shoes to be worn on the carpet.)

Respect the privacy of the individual (As a full grown adult, you should know it's impolite to rummage through anything not designated. It's better to ask the host if there is anything you might need)

Respect Cultural, personal and Family differences. If eating a certain kind of food is a violation of your cultural, personal or religious beliefs, let your hosts know before you arrive. There may be children, pets, elderly parents, or others in the home with whom you may be unaccustomed to, remember it's not your place to judge or criticize their life styles.

Clean up after yourself - Try not to leave a gigantic mess for your host, accidents can occasionally happen. Best thing to do is apologize and damage control.

If you have a pet you'd like to bring with you, please check with the hostess before hand to make sure it's appropriate and acceptable. Make sure your animal is properly socialized with both other animals and humans. Please clean up after any messes your pet might make(Waste or destruction)

If you're allergic or have any medical conditions please let the host know before the event

If alcohol is being served, please arrange to have a designated driver(DD), an uber, or an over night arrangement with the host. As a general rule, if you're going to drive yourself home after drinking, please give yourself at LEAST a few hours to sober up.

Remember it's generally encouraged to express some form of gratitude to the host for the invitation into their homes, so try and give them a "Thank you!" before the event is through

Please let all the guests know about particular rules you have in your house before the event

Let guests know what kind of event you'll be hosting.

Let guests know if you'll be serving food, if it's a pot luck, or if they should eat before they arrive.
